Article 1: Preamble
This Privacy Policy aims to inform you about the methods of collection, processing, and use of your personal data by the company Minimal Roleplay (the "Company", "Minimal Roleplay" or "We") and your rights and obligations regarding the protection of personal data when using the Minimal Roleplay website (hereinafter the “Site”), the Apple and Android applications (hereinafter the “Applications”), as well as the social network Minimal Campfire (hereinafter the “Social Network”).
The Minimal Roleplay website, the Apple and Android applications, and the Minimal Campfire social network are collectively referred to as the "Services."
Minimal Roleplay is responsible for the collection of personal data, which is accessible to all departments of Minimal Roleplay.
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this Privacy Policy.
Information for minors: We retain the information you provide (date of birth, email address) in order to communicate with you about your account, track purchases, help resolve security issues that may affect your account, and send you information about our Services. When creating your account, we ask you to enter a username and a password: this username and password will allow you to access our Services. Please note: this username and password must remain confidential—never share them with others.
You have the right to access and correct your data. To exercise this right and request the communication or deletion of information concerning you, please write to us, with the help of your parents, directly through our website https://minimalroleplay.com.
Article 2: Data Collected
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
When you use our Services, certain personal data may be requested from you.
"Personal data" refers to any information that can directly or indirectly identify you, by reference to an identification number or to one or more elements specific to you.
We do not request this information if you are simply browsing our Services, but you may not be able to access certain areas of these Services without registering.
At the time of collection, you will be informed whether the provision of personal data is optional or mandatory and of the possible consequences of not providing such data.
2.1.1 When you create a Minimal Roleplay account:
We ask you to provide the following information: email address, password, date of birth. Depending on the applicable legislation in your country of habitual residence, the Company may ask you to enter the email address of your legal representative (parent or guardian) in order to obtain consent for the creation of your Account.
2.1.1.1 Email address: Your email address is collected as an identifier to access the Services. It is used for:
- account or password recovery in case of loss;
- allowing the Minimal Roleplay team to contact you if necessary;
- sending you, with your explicit consent given during registration, communication emails related to the platform (important information, updates, etc.).
This data is stored securely and will never be shared or sold to third parties without your explicit consent.
2.1.1.2 Password: Your password is required to secure access to your account. It is stored in encrypted form and can never be read in plain text by our team. We recommend choosing a strong and unique password and never sharing it.
2.1.1.3 Date of birth: Your date of birth is collected in order to protect minors from inappropriate or unwanted content. It allows us to verify that the user meets the minimum age requirements to access certain services or features. This information remains confidential and is used solely for age verification purposes.
2.1.2 When making a purchase on our Services:
Your transaction data does not pass through our servers and is processed directly by our payment providers: Stripe, Paddle, the Play Store, and the App Store. We do not process your sensitive data in any way. In the case of a physical purchase, you may be asked to provide certain personal data such as your first name, last name, age, mailing address, and email address.
We only keep a record of your order for administrative purposes: date, amount, item purchased, payment provider used, and order number.
2.1.3 When participating in a contest, sweepstake, or survey:
We may ask you to provide certain personal data such as your first name, last name, age, mailing address, and email address.
2.2 Information We Automatically Collect When You Use the Services
2.2.1 When using our Services:
We collect the following information: language, date and time of connection, information related to your mobile device (brand, model, operating system version, unique device identifier).
2.3 When You Choose to Connect to Our Services Using Social Network Credentials
The Company may offer you the ability to connect to certain Services using a social network or gaming platform login. This login method may be required to access certain features of the Services, in particular to allow you to interact with other users of these networks and platforms.
By logging in via a social network or gaming platform, you will be asked to consent to the sharing of certain data about you with Minimal Roleplay. By accepting this data sharing, Minimal Roleplay will have access to this data and may retain some of it.
These social networks and gaming platforms are created and managed by third parties and are not controlled by Us. We invite you to consult their terms of use and privacy policies to understand how these third parties handle your data and what information they may share with us.
Article 3: Purposes and Legal Bases
Your personal data may be processed for different purposes and on the basis of different legal grounds:
3.1 We use your data because it is necessary for the proper performance of a contract between you and Us.
Your data is processed:
- to create, manage, and monitor a Minimal Roleplay account;
- to allow you to access and use the Services;
- to enable you to make purchases of products and services on our Services and to allow us to process, manage, and track your orders;
- to enable you to communicate with other users of the Services, notably via our chats;
- to send you important information regarding the Services and any other information related to your Minimal Roleplay Account and the actions carried out with it (example: password reset emails);
- to manage complaints and after-sales service;
- to assist you in case of technical issues when using our Services.
3.2 We use your data based on our legitimate interests where these do not override your rights and freedoms.
Your data is processed:
- to improve our Services, notably to enhance the performance and user experience of Minimal Roleplay, customer experience, or to manage bugs;
- to ensure the security of your Minimal Roleplay account;
- to offer promotional activities such as contests or sweepstakes;
- to prevent and detect irregular behavior and particularly to fight payment fraud;
- to monitor behavior in the Games and ensure compliance with the rules set forth in our Terms of Use, our General Terms and Conditions of Sale, and in any other document you agree to when using our Services;
- to measure the performance of our marketing campaigns.
3.3 We ask for your consent.
To send you commercial solicitations and newsletters by email and/or SMS.
Please note that you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal. To do so, you can go to your Account Settings to adjust your preferences regarding the receipt of commercial solicitations and newsletters. Our emails and SMS also contain a link or keyword to unsubscribe.
3.4 We process some of your data when necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
Article 4: Disclosure of Personal Data
Minimal Roleplay may use third-party service providers who collect your personal data on behalf of and for the account of Minimal Roleplay or with whom Minimal Roleplay will securely share your data, notably in order to carry out tasks necessary to execute your order, deliver products, process your payments, manage customer relationships, moderate discussions on chats, combat payment fraud, provide advertising services, send you SMS and emails, or conduct surveys.
These providers may be located outside the European Union. Minimal Roleplay has taken all necessary safeguards to ensure an adequate level of protection of your personal information by framing these transfers with the standard data protection clauses established by the European Commission.
Minimal Roleplay may also disclose your personal data to the competent authorities, upon their request, in the context of legal proceedings, judicial investigations, requests for information from authorities, or to comply with other legal obligations.

When someone visits our Sites, cookies or similar files may be installed, notably on the user's computer hard drive.
5.1 What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file installed on your hard drive by the server of the website you visit.
It contains several pieces of data:

5.2.1 Strictly necessary cookies:
These cookies are essential for the operation of our Services and to provide you with the requested services. They are used to identify you, contribute to the security of our Services, access your Minimal Roleplay Account, and manage your orders.
5.2.2 Functionality cookies:
These cookies are intended to improve your browsing experience on our Sites. They allow us to remember your choices and preferences, such as language, recall previously entered information so you don’t have to enter it again on future visits, and remember pages already visited to avoid showing them again.
5.2.3 Audience measurement and advertising cookies:
Minimal Roleplay does not use any audience measurement or advertising cookies across its Services.
Article 6: Discussion Areas and User Profile
The Services may include discussion areas such as forums or chats. You also have the ability to personalize your user profile. Minimal Roleplay reminds you that all personal information disclosed in forums, chats, and profiles becomes public and can be reused by anyone. Therefore, users should exercise caution if they consider sharing personal data through such services.
In any case, Minimal Roleplay advises you not to post sensitive or personal information, particularly data revealing your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, philosophical or religious beliefs, trade union membership, as well as your genetic, biometric data, and data concerning your sex life or sexual orientation.
If you choose to post such information on our Services, you accept that it will be visible to other members and to anyone accessing the Services.
Therefore, do not share any information you do not wish to make public.
6.1 Continuity of Conversations
As part of the platform’s interactive features (chat, forum, etc.), some content you share may involve other users. To ensure the consistency of discussions, traceability of conversations, and the protection of each participant's rights, messages sent in these contexts are not deleted even if you delete your account.
These contents are considered as jointly owned by the individuals involved in the exchange and are retained as such. However, your identity will be anonymized upon request, in accordance with applicable regulations.
Article 7: Security
The Company implements appropriate technical and organizational measures, taking into account the nature of the data and the risks associated with processing, to ensure a high level of data security and, in particular, to prevent data from being altered, damaged, or accessed by unauthorized third parties.
Technologies such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) are used for the encryption of certain data, physical and logical data backup procedures are implemented, and a protocol ensuring access security through data encryption (HTTPS) is used.
The Company reserves the right to take legal action against anyone attempting to access personal information that does not concern them.
Article 8: Third-Party Websites
The Services may contain hyperlinks that redirect you to websites unrelated to Minimal Roleplay.
Please be aware that the personal data protection policies of these third-party websites may differ from this Privacy Policy. We strongly recommend that you review the privacy policies of each of these websites.
In any case, Minimal Roleplay cannot be held liable if the content of these websites violates applicable legal or regulatory provisions, or this Privacy Policy.
Article 9: Your Rights
Unless otherwise specified, you may exercise your rights as outlined in this article and, for users in France, define instructions regarding the handling of your personal data after your death:
- Via our online support
To protect your privacy and personal data, we must verify your identity before responding to your request. Therefore, any request to exercise your rights must be accompanied by a copy of a signed ID document.
Your request will be handled as promptly as possible, in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
9.1 Right of access and data portability:
You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed by Minimal Roleplay and, where that is the case, access to said data and related information. If your Minimal Roleplay Account has been subject to a sanction, we cannot provide data related to that sanction in order to preserve our ability to detect and act against misconduct. Where technically feasible, you may also exercise your right to data portability.
9.2 Right to rectification:
You have the right to obtain the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data concerning you (if you cannot correct it yourself via your Account Management).
9.3 Right to erasure:
We retain your personal data as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. If you no longer want us to process your data, you can request deletion and the closure of your Minimal Roleplay Account. However, please note that even if you exercise this right, we may retain certain data for the following reasons:
- To protect our legitimate interests, such as fraud detection and prevention, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims;
- To comply with legal obligations;
- If you have posted messages, comments, or other content on our Services, such content may still appear but will no longer be attributed to you (see 6.1 Continuity of Conversations).
9.4 Right to restriction of processing:
You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your data in specific situations: (i) when you contest the accuracy of your data; (ii) when processing is unlawful but you prefer restriction over erasure; (iii) when we no longer need your data but you need it for legal claims; (iv) when you object to the processing as per Article 9.5, during the verification as to whether our legitimate grounds override yours.
9.5 Right to object:
You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your data when the processing is based on a legitimate interest. If you exercise this right, we will no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
You may also object at any time to the processing of your data for marketing purposes. Your preferences regarding commercial solicitations and newsletters via email and/or SMS can be managed in your Account Management. Our emails and SMS messages also contain an unsubscribe link or keyword to stop receiving such messages.
Article 10: Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, in compliance with applicable laws. For information about your right to erasure, please refer to the section "Your Rights."
